Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one use, clients notice significant improvements in the complexion and clarity of the skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment.

Lumecca is indicated for Age spots (red/brown pigmentations), vascular lesions such as facial telangiectasias (spider veins), poikiloderma, rosacea (redness), freckles and sun damage.

2-3 weeks prior to treatment:

Use sunscreen on the treatment area. Sunburned or tanned skin may be more sensitive, but also pose risk for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

1-2 weeks prior to treatment:

Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment.

No self tanner on treatment area 1 week prior to treatment.

1-3 days prior to treatment:

Discontinue any irritation topical argents for 2-3 days prior to treatment such as AHA, BHA, Retinol.

Please refrain from wearing makeup on the treated area day of treatment.

This treatment is not painful. May be slightly uncomfortable if you are sensitive. There is a light elastic sensation and warmth.

Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a colour change in the vessel which dissipates after a few days.

An improved skin appearance can be noted after the First session. Multiple sessions provide even better results. Treatment regime depends on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings.

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Individuals with an electronic implant, such as a glucose monitor, pacemaker or defibrillator, or a permanent implant in the treatment area

Cancer or history of cancer

Immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV or use of immunosuppressive medications

Heart disease, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney disease

Herpes simplex in the treatment area

Active ulcers, psoriasis, eczema or rashes

Keloid scars, wounds, and very dry skin

Uncontrolled endocrine disorders such as diabetes or thyroid dysfunction

Apply cold compresses if needed.

Sun block should be used for 3 weeks following the treatment and 3 weeks preceding the next session.

Moisturizer may be applied.

Make-up may be applied immediately after facial treatment if skin is intact.
